Depart Galway at 10:00am and enjoy a scenic drive to the stunning Ballinakill Bay, arriving at DK Connemara Oyster Farm at 11:30am for a guided tour and tasting of our award-winning oysters. Continue to the iconic Kylemore Abbey for a delicious lunch at 1:00pm, before a leisurely journey back through Connemara’s breathtaking landscapes, returning to Galway at approximately 4:30pm.

Flaggy Shore Oyster Experience
A Memorable Experience for Oyster Lovers
The Flaggy Shore Oyster Experience is a fun, interactive, educational and tasty 90-minute journey into the world of oysters in the heart of the Burren.
Come clean about the area’s rich history of oyster bays, the life cycle of an oyster, sea weeds and sea creatures of the Flaggy Shore, celebrated in poem and song before we start shucking.
Our experienced guide will introduce you to the art of oyster shucking before it’s time to enjoy our famous oysters paired with a glass of specifically chosen organic wine.
€70 per person includes shuttle bus from Galway City and stop at Linnane’s Lobster Bar for lunch (lunch costs not included)
Galway Bay Boat Tours
Oyster Spins
As part of this year’s Galway Docklands Festival in collaboration with the Galway International Oyster Festival, Galway Bay Boat Tours are running special Oyster Spins on the Bay.
Hop aboard for a short guided trip, soak up the views of Galway’s bay and harbour and traditional Galway Hooker boats, and enjoy a taste of the freshest oysters right on the water.
All proceeds from these tours go directly to support the RNLI Galway Lifeboat – so every oyster trip helps save lives at sea.
